Sarah Hersh

Sarah Hersh is an Atlanta-based composer and new music advocate who is particularly interested in promoting the music of women composers. She holds a BA in music from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota and her Master of Music degree in composition from the University of Florida. Her work has been performed in the United States and Europe, as well as in Tanzania, by Clarinets for Conservation, Daraja Music Initiative, Diagenesis, Duo46, Florida Chamber Saxophonists, Juxtatonal, Out of Bounds Ensemble, Terminus Ensemble, Transient Canvas, and the University of South Florida Wind Ensemble, as well as other ensembles and individual performers. Brent Milam

Brent Milam has remained continually active as both performer and composer since 1986. His music, characterized by shifts of timbre, pointillistic textures, jazz-influenced harmonies, rhythmic complexity, and spectral manipulation, has won multiple contests and been featured at both regional and national conferences for professional composers. He has also performed and recorded professionally with jazz, blues, funk, and new music ensembles.
